In case you are curious, yes indeed, I do carry a magnifying glass on an inspection. Of course, that is only one of dozens
of tools and test instruments that are used.
Among other things I carry a Carbon Monoxide Detector, a Flammable Gas Detector, Laser Thermometer, a Moisture Detection
and Evaluation Meter and loads of other stuff. The client (usually the buyer)is encouraged to accompany me throughout the
inspection and ask any and all questions. I'm a good communicator and seldom have a problem explaining a building concept
in plain English. I save the technical jargon for conversations with other inspectors.
What to Expect
You will get a complete detailed visual inspection of the home in question. While I'm conducting the inspection, I talk
constantly and explain what I am doing and why. At the end of the inspection you will receive a detailed written copy of
the inspection before I leave the premises.Copies of the inspection will be made available to your lawyer or realtor at your
request.
